post-election wrapup

Last night, President Obama was reelected. However, if Ky had decided the election, he would have been soundly defeated.

Easily passing in Ky was a voter referendum on hunting and fishing rights. This vote was totally unnecessary because these rights are already guaranteed in the Constitution. However, the NRA saw fit to push for this in Ky as well as in a few other red states. All this will do in the long run is make it more difficult to prosecute animal cruelty cases involving domestic animals. Hopefully those who voted yes will come to realize that all they have done is make it easier for the government or other special interests to interfere more in their lives in the future, probably not the outcome they would choose.

Anyway, regardless of your feelings, I hope we can all come together and show respect for the President and our other leaders as they try to move the divided country forward.

God bless the USA!

  1. Same thing in Texas. After the election, quite a few idiots tried to succeed from the Union. So proud of my state. (facepalm)
