She has lived through the Great Depression, World War II, the moon landing, 9/11 and every other major happening in between. She was a single mother to my mother and uncle for most of their childhood. She worked full-time as a secretary when it was far from commonplace for women to do so. She took early retirement when I was born, and she has been caring for kids pretty much ever since.
Understandably she is moving a little slower these days. However, she is still as lovely, inside and out, as ever. Happy birthday, Grandma!
